Employee Recognition Program
The objective of the Employee Recognition Program is to enhance the pride and morale of
employees by formally recognizing their contributions to the efficient operation of the
institution.
For more information about a specific award, or to nominate a fellow employee for an
award, click on the corresponding award title.
- Above and Beyond Award
The Above and Beyond Award recognizes the employee or team who consistently
goes beyond the expected by using initiative and imagination to make the
college a better place to work.
- Creative Idea Award
The Creative Idea Award recognizes an employee or team of employees whose
ideas or innovations have significantly improved or solved a problem which
could not have been solved through established procedures, policies or
practices.
- Customer Service Award
The Customer Service Award recognizes an employee or team of employees in
an office who have demonstrated excellent or exceptional customer service
to individuals within and/or outside the College.
- Online Services Award
The Online Services Award is given to the Central Virginia Community College
faculty, staff, or department who, by innovation or exceptional service,
demonstrates exemplary dedication to the development, support, or delivery
of online services.
- Outstanding Faculty Award
The Outstanding Faculty Award is designed to recognize one current faculty
member each year as having shown exceptional abilities and efforts as an
instructor at CVCC.
- Outstanding Staff Award
The Outstanding Staff Award acknowledges outstanding service of an employee
who has consistently excelled in his/her work.
Nomination period for the Outstanding Faculty Award is
Feb. 1 through the Friday before Spring Break of each year. Nomination
period for all other awards is Feb. 1 through March 31 of each year.
Awards are presented once a year at Fall Convocation, except for the Outstanding Faculty
Award, which is presented at Graduation. Each award has a monetary value.
