WEL 124 Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Advanced) (3 cr.) Continues instruction on operation of AC transformers and DC motor generator arc welding sets, welding polarities, heats and electrodes for use in joining various metal alloys by the arc welding process. Deals with running beads, butt, and fillet welds in all positions. Emphasizes safety procedures. Prerequisite: WEL 123. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
