Offers instruction for students in current topics of care for trauma patients and offers certification as a International Trauma Life Support Provider (ITLS) as defined by the American College of Emergency Physicians. Prerequisites: Current certification/licensure as an EMS provider or other allied healthcare provider. Lecture 1 hour per week.

Course dates: April 27 & 28. Drop for refund by April 26, for 'W' by April 27. EMS 161 is designed for basic and advanced life support level healthcare providers including EMT, Enhanced, Intermediate, Paramedic, Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants and Physicians. Those not certified or licensed at one of the aforementioned levels should not enroll in this course.
