EMS 165 Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) ( 1 cr.) Prepares for certification as an Advanced Cardiac Life provider. Follows course as defined by the American Heart Association. Prerequisites: EMS 100, 153 or equivalent. Lecture 1 hour per week.

Course dates: March 8 & 9. Drop for refund by March 7, for 'W' by March 8. EMS 165 is designed to enhance knowledge and skill of advanced healthcare providers such as physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, EMT-Intermediates and Paramedics. Only those with basic EKG recognition skills and cardiology medication knowledge should enroll in this course. Textbook includes disc. Quiz must be taken prior to class and results brought to class.
