Tobacco Commission Scholarships

The same Foundation Scholarship Application is used for several special scholarships funded by a generous grant from the Virginia Tobacco Commission. You do not have to submit a second application to be considered for these.

These scholarships are available to residents of the Tobacco Commission's designated Tobacco Region, which includes Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell counties. These are "last dollar" scholarships which can be used to pay tuition and fees remaining after all other grants and scholarships have been used first.

For the 2014-2015 school year, the following Tobacco Commission scholarship programs are available.

Tobacco Region Academic Scholarship:

Available to students who have graduated from a high school located in Campbell, Bedford or Appomattox county with a grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.

Student must be a current resident of a Tobacco Region county.

Tobacco STEM-H Scholarships:

Available to students who have chosen a program of study at CVCC that is in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or Health related field. A list of the eligible programs of study can be found here.
