Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/ -- Appomattox resident and President of BWXT Nuclear Operations Division, Winfred D. Nash, has been named as a recipient of the Virginia Community College System’s (VCCS) 2007 Chancellor’s Award for Leadership in Philanthropy. Nash was nominated by Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) for his commitment to the College and personal involvement in post-secondary education. He will join fellow award recipients from around the Commonwealth at a formal luncheon at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond on April 25. Dr. Glen DuBois, Chancellor of the VCCS, will preside over the awards ceremony.

Nash has had an active interest in the College since being elected as a member of the CVCC Educational Board of Directors in 2001. In that capacity he has served as a member on the finance committee.
