Assistance with Financial Aid Forms for all College-Bound

Students offered on Super Saturday

 

Lynchburg, VA / 1/9/09 – On Saturday, January 31, Central Virginia Community College and the Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (VASFAA) will host Super Saturday, an annual event that invites college-bound students in the area to receive free assistance in completing the FAFSA, a financial aid form required by colleges, universities, and private career schools to qualify for federal grants and loans.

 

The event will be held at CVCC, Merritt Hall from 10 a.m. until noon and will include a financial aid workshop followed by a question and answer session. It is open to parents and students of all grade levels, as well as adult students. Computers will be available, and financial aid professionals will be onsite to offer free, expert assistance.

 

The VASFAA will award a $100 book scholarship at each Super Saturday site in the state, to be used at the winner’s college of choice.

 

Students and /or parents must bring the following items:

 

Please register before Jan. 31 at www.pin.ed.gov  At least one parent must have a PIN, if you are required to provide parent information on the FAFSA.
