Culinary Arts Program Receives Accreditation
Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/01/05/11 – Central Virginia Community College recently received approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) for their Culinary Arts and Management program. The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Culinary Arts and Management and the Certificate in Culinary Arts and Management are available as of January 10, 2011. These programs are designed to prepare students for careers in culinary arts, food service management, and related occupations.
A new facility is under construction to house the programs on the main campus and is scheduled for completion for the Fall Semester 2011. An alternative facility through contract with Centra Health is currently being used for the program for the Spring Semester 2011.
