CVCC to Host Region 2000 Engineering Career Fair
Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/02/17/11 -- Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) will host an Engineering Career Fair on Tuesday, March 1, sponsored by CVCC, The National Science Foundation and The University of Virginia Engineering Department. This is a free networking event for engineers, students in engineering or engineering technology, and prospective engineering students to meet with local high technology employers to learn about the companies and to explore potential career opportunities and internships.
The program includes a trade show format with door prizes and interaction with representatives from local companies, and college and university engineering faculty. Local employers from a pool including AREVA NP, Georgia Pacific, Parker Hannifin and others will be offering practice interviews.
The career fair will be held on the CVCC Main Campus in Lynchburg in Merritt Hall, room 5122, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
