Comprehensive Standards

Financial and Physical Resources

Comprehensive Standard #1: The institution’s financial history demonstrates financial stability.

Offsite Committee Concern: Do not have audit.

The Commonwealth of Virginia funds CVCC as part of a State supported system. General and Non-General Funds provided by the General Assembly are allocated to CVCC using a FTES driven formula. The Central Virginia Community College portion of the Virginia Community College System Budget Allocation model for the past 3 years demonstrates the continuous commitment and support of both the Commonwealth and the Virginia Community College System. The 2003 independent audit and the financial Statement of Net Assets; Statement of Cash Flows; Statement of Revenues, Expenses, and Changes in Net Assets; Budget allocations for 1999-2000; 2000-2001; and 2001-2002 are available in support of the college’s financial stability.

Comprehensive Standard #7: The institution operates and maintains physical facilities, both on and off campus, that are adequate to serve the needs of the institution’s educational programs, support services, and mission-related activities.

Offsite Committee Concern: Want onsite review of adequate physical facilities.

Focused Response: CVCC building maps and photographs indicate that the college has adequate on- and off-campus physical facilities.
