During the test

Plan Your Approach. Read the entire test to help jog your memory and calm yourself down. Jot down notes, formulas, and key phrases for later use. Put most of your time into the sections with the most points. Start with the easiest parts of the test. Use a watch to stay aware of time limits.

Read Directions Carefully and ask for clarification if you don't understand something.

Moving On Reduced Anxiety. If you go blank and can't think of the correct answer - mark the question and come back to it later.

Relax Yourself Physically. If you notice that you are feeling tense and anxious, pause, lay your test aside, and take several slow, deep breaths. Concentrate on your breathing. This will help re-focus on the task at hand.

Review The Test. Allow a few minutes to review your completed test. Check for questions you left blank, spelling, etc. There are no points for turning in your test early.

Do Not Change A Guess. More often than not, the guess is correct and the correction is not
