Old Dominion
University’s Distance Learning Site is located on the Central Virginia Community
College campus at 3506 Wards Rd in Lynchburg, VA. See the
CVCC campus map to see the exact location and for further directions.
Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5
p.m., Monday through Friday. The Site may be open for classes during evenings
or weekends. Anyone who needs to come by for advising, test proctoring, to pick
up DVDs or videotapes, library books, or to drop-off or pickup homework should
call 434-386-4694 prior to coming to the Site after regular office hours.
Site
Director
Sharon M. Martin has served
as Site Director since 2005. She has an Ed.D. in Adult Education from the
University of Georgia and an extensive background in Distance Learning as an
instructor, instructional designer, and administrator. She also teaches a web
course in Education for CVCC. Dr. Martin serves as the overall Site
administrator and student advisor.
Assistant
Site Director
Jennifer Allen has been
Assistant Site Director since 2004. Ms Allen is an ODU alum who graduated with
her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services in 2004. Prior to accepting the
Assistant Site Director’s position, she served as an office assistant. Her
major tasks include office and classroom management.
Office
Staff
Adrian Chilton is working as
office assistant while she finishes her Master’s degree in college counseling at
Longwood University. She is scheduled primarily for evening and weekend hours.
Her job consists of performing office tasks, proctoring exams, and starting
classes.
Ashley Little is completing
her Bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing at ODU while serving as office
assistant. She also works primarily on evenings and weekends.
